The Forum was organized by Capital Link with the aim to highlight the significant role of Cyprus as a maritime, energy and logistics hub and as an investment and business destination. The event featured renowned international speakers, important delegates and local experts, in an exchange of ideas on critical industry topics. Major developments and current trends in the shipping and marine services industry were presented, as well as issues pertaining to geopolitical and regulatory developments, technical and commercial fleet management. The Forum provided a deeper understanding of the current state of the shipping and marine services industry, with a clear focus on the opportunities and challenges ahead, and highlighted the competitive positioning and advantages ofCyprus as an industry hub.
The Capital Link Cyprus Shipping Forum provided the opportunity to meet and network with a large, experienced audience of ship owning and offshore executives, institutional investors, research analysts, industry experts, commercial and investment bankers, risk advisors, high net worth investors, representatives of private equity and venture capital firms. The Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Marios Demetriades, delivered the opening keynote remarks, while the keynote address was provided by Louis Pochanis, Director, International Banking, Wealth & Markets at the Bank of Cyprus.

In his opening speech, Mr Pantzaris stated:
