EY Cyprus announces new partners

EY Cyprus announces the appointment of Charalambos Constantinou and Petros Krasaris as new partners in its Advisory and Tax teams respectively. The new partners take up their new roles as of 1st July 2018 and will work closely with the other EY partners in further strengthening the local practice.

Charalambos Constantinou is leading the Advisory Practice of EY Cyprus. He has more than 15 years of professional experience, including two years of teaching at the University of Edinburg and 10 years working in large multinational consulting firms like EY, Standard and Poor’s and Duff & Phelps. He has extensive international and local experience in a number of different areas such as risk management, regulatory compliance, re-organizations, operational restructurings, strategy, corporate valuations and valuations of intangible assets. Charalambos holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Warwick and a BSc in Economics from the University of Cyprus.

Petros Krasaris is leading the International Tax & Transfer Pricing Services of EY Cyprus. He has more than 15 years of experience in advising local and multinational clients on tax matters and he has been involved in a large number of international tax projects, assisting clients to structure their deals and operations in a tax efficient manner. His experiences include improving the tax efficiency of multinational operations, advising on earnings repatriation strategies, (re)structuring of operations, mergers, acquisitions and divestments, IP planning, fund structuring and other cross border arrangements. Petros is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).

Further to the newly appointed partners, Myria Saparilla and Kyriakos Christodoulou are appointed as new Associate Partners in Tax and Assurance respectively, and will also take up their new roles as of 1st July.

Myria joined EY Cyprus in 2003 and she is currently leading the Limassol Business Tax Compliance department. She is experienced in providing both audit and tax services to local and multinational clients in several industries. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and she is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). Myria has been an active member of Women’s International Shipping Association in Cyprus (WISTA) and a member of the ICPAC Limassol-Paphos Coordinating Committee for several years.

Kyriakos has 17 years of experience at EY Cyprus in providing audit and other assurance services to local and multinational clients operating in various industries.  He is a subject matter resource in the provision of assurance services to the shipping industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance and a Master’s degree in International Securities, Investment and Banking. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and a member of the Shipping Committee of ICPAC.

In addition to the above, Andreas Avraam was recently admitted to EY as an Associate Partner in the Assurance practice. Andreas has an extensive experience of 17 years providing audit, review and other professional business services to local and multinational companies in various industries. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). He also holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance with First Class Honors from London School of Economics & Political Science.
