Steve graduated in Law (LLB) from Manchester Metropolitan University before joining Hays Plc where he set up and headed their very successful property recruitment division in the West End of London. Having built up a successful team Steve moved on to work for the US recruiter Spherion in London where he specialised in placing Qualified Accountants out of the Top 4 into FTSE top 50 companies. Having decided to move to Cyprus, Steve established a new office for an international consultancy in Cyprus, before setting up GRS in 2004. At the beginning the business was run out of the spare bedroom of his house and now GRS has offices in Cyprus and Malta and is the market leader in Cyprus for recruitment and payroll services. For the last 15 years GRS & Fairfax Yeaman have provided permanent and temporary recruitment solutions and payroll services to some of the world’s leading companies operating in Cyprus and Malta.

Our payroll and accounting team is led by Nicoletta Demetriou who joined GRS in March 2013 from the Top 4 where she was the firm’s ‘Payroll Champion’. A Fellow of the ACCA and a member of the Cyprus Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Nicoletta has 14 years’ experience of running payroll and accounting services for international and local companies in Cyprus. Nicoletta is part of the Management Team of Fairfax Yeaman and the GRS Group and is actively involved in the strategy and planning of the group. Nicoletta is fluent in Greek and English.

Nicoletta graduated from Kingston University, London, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance. After graduating from University she landed her first professional job role one of the prestigious top4 firms in Cyprus, where she progressed her way up to Manager in Global Compliance Services. During this time became a member of the Cyprus Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Fellow of the ACCA.
During her career within the Big4 Nicoletta has increased her knowledge of the industry and gained an exceptional level of experience in bookkeeping, preparation and reviewing of VAT calculations and monthly management reports and she became an expert in monthly payroll preparation where she was responsible for setting up payroll records, preparing individual tax computation and personal income tax returns, amongst many other responsibilities.
Nicoletta joined the GRS Group as a Senior Manager of Accounts & Payroll, where she provided payroll services to some of the world’s leading organisations including Hewlett Packard, Oracle and Sony, soon after she became Co-Founder & Director for GRS’ Group Company, Fairfax Yeaman.
Nicoletta possesses more than 20 years’ experience in running payroll and accounting services for local and international companies who have a presence in Cyprus. Together with the robust team at Fairfax Yeaman, she is now responsible for overseeing complex and technical payroll and account processing services. Here, she combines a high level of service with a personal approach and absolute flexibility, ensuring that each and every service is tailored to the individual client’s exact requirements.
