The Cyprus Bar Association (CBA) is the regulatory and professional body for over 4536 registered practicing advocates in Cyprus and was first established under Advocates’ Law Cap.2 in 1960. Its major objective is the representation of the interests and the assistance of its members.

The CBA is a full member of the Council and Bars of the European Union representing over 1,000,000 practicing lawyers. CBA is also a member of the International Bar Association and the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, Mediterranean Bar Association, and the Union of the Balkan Bar Associations.
