Wizz Air announces expansion, new routes to Larnaca

Hungary’s Wizz Air announced an expansion of its operations on Thursday.

The carrier will operate additional flights to Athens, Prague and Larnaca whilst increasing frequencies on over 30 existing routes, including London, Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Paris, Brussels-Charleroi, Dortmund, Eindhoven, Madrid and Tel Aviv.

It will also add new routes to Athens, Prague and Larnaca, set to launch on December 2.

The routes to Athens and Larnaca will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with fares starting at €24.99.

“The five new planes allow the launch of new routes to our itinerary toward Athens, Prague, and Larnaca and more frequent flights from Romania to more than 30 destinations such as London, Rome, Milan, and elsewhere,” Wizz Air said.

The expanded itinerary will be serviced by five new planes, to be stationed at the company’s headquarters in Bucharest.

Also, reacting to the cancellation of Blue Air’s flights from Romania, Wizz Air is offering low prices to the owners of tickets whose flights have been cancelled.

“Wizz Air is excited to make such a significant investment into Bucharest and Romania. We know how important it is for passengers to be able to travel, and we want to ensure that customers have choices to plan their trips,” the company said.
