The value of all Greek exports to Cyprus in 2014 increased by around 7.8% compared with 2013, from €1.12 to €1.21 billion, according to the Cyprus Statistical Office.
The Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs (ECA) of the Greek Embassy in Nicosia confirmed that Greece is Cyprus' most important trading partner, as the value of bilateral trade represents 22% of the total value of Cyprus's total foreign trade.
The most noteworthy category is fruit and nuts, with exports worth €17.86 million. There is also great demand for agricultural and livestock equipment and machinery. In particular, the most popular products are agrochemicals, fertilisers, greenhouse systems, irrigation systems, seeds and garden equipment.
