The value index of the retail trade in July 2016 increased by 1.7% compared to July 2015, provisional estimates of the Cyprus Statistical Service shows.
The turnover value index of retail trade for July 2016 was up by 1.7% compared to the same month of the previous year reaching 95.6 units (base 2010=100).
For the period January-July 2016, the index is estimated to have recorded an increase of 2.1% compared to the same period of 2015.
The Statistical Service’s provisional estimate also foresees that the turnover volume index of retail trade for July 2016 increased by 0.1% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and reached 96.9 units (base 2010=100).
For the period January-July 2016, the index is estimated to have recorded an increase of 4.9% compared to the same period of 2015.
