The number of unemployed persons registered at the District Labour Offices on the last day of April 2017 reached 32,804 persons.
Based on the seasonally adjusted data that show the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed for April 2017 decreased to 35,083 persons in comparison to 36,129 in the previous month.
In comparison with April 2016, a decrease of 4,182 persons or 11.3% was recorded which was mainly observed in the sectors of public administration (a decrease of 1,344 unemployed persons), construction (a decrease of 1,211), trade (a decrease of 553), manufacturing (a decrease of 531) and accommodation and food service activities (a decrease of 347).
