The reduction was mainly observed in the sectors of construction (a decrease of 1,088 unemployed persons), manufacturing (a decrease of 575), trade (a decrease of 426), public administration (a decrease of 425), transportation (a decrease of 356) and to newcomers in the labour market (a decrease of 238).
Based on the seasonally adjusted data that show the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed for December 2016 decreased to 38,378 persons in comparison to 38,406 in the previous month.
Compared to November 2016, the number of unemployed persons rose by 1,200 persons or by 2.96%.
