On a seasonally adjusted basis, the unemployed persons registered in the District Labour Offices, decreased to 44,736 from 45,423 in the prior month.
Compared to the same month of the previous year, unemployed persons dropped by 9.4%, or 4,939 in March. The decline in unemployment was mainly observed in the construction sector, where the number decreased by 1,301 people.
On an unadjusted basis, the total number of registered unemployed persons was 47,833.
