The Department of Registrar of Companies and IP (DRCIP) has announced an extension to the filing of beneficial ownership particulars onto the Final Solution of the UBO Register for all companies and other legal entities until 31 March 2024.

The said extension is granted within the context of updating the digital platform behind the UBO Register.

In addition, based on a legal opinion by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Republic of Cyprus, the competent Ministry has discretion to reimburse penalty amounts imposed and received by UBO Register-obligated entities that did not comply with their obligation to submit beneficial ownership data by the imposed deadline.
