Transport sector decreases by 3% in 2013

The Transport Sector recorded a decrease of 3% in 2013, compared to 2012, according to data released by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

In the period October–December 2013, the sector recorded a decrease of 4.6%, compared to the corresponding period of 2012. In particular, in the last trimester of 2013, land transport activity decreased by 10.1%, water transport activity increased by 30.8%, air transport decreased by 31.9% and postal and courier activities increased by 15.7%, compared to the corresponding period in 2012.
