Cyprus trade deficit for the first six months of 2014 stood at €1.6 billion, recording an annual increase of €100 million, Eurostat data released recently shows.
According to the data, in the first six months of 2014 Cyprus’ exports came to €700 million, down by 6% while imports reached €2.4 billion, up by 4% compared to the same period of 2013.
Seasonably adjusted data for June show a monthly drop in the trade surplus of €0.1 billion in June and a first estimate for July shows the same monthly drop.
