Tourism revenue on the rise Q1 2017

Tourism revenue during March 2017 reached €86.1m, an annual increase of 6.4%, according to data published by the Cyprus Statistical Service recently.

All three months of 2017 showed an upward trend, with March recording double the revenue of the previous month.

For the period January-March 2017, tourism revenue reached €168.1 million compared to €147.6 million during the same period in 2016, an increase of 13.9%. The increase during the three-month period is mainly due to the increases in revenue for January and February, which reached 28.8% and 24.6% respectively.
