The aim of the deal is to save resources on the one hand, and to help increase sales in Greece, the airline said.
Top Kinisis Hellas, a subsidiary of Nicosia-based Top KinisisTravel Public Ltd, was selected after a competition among tour operators in Cyprus and Greece.
The move is part of CY’s plans to maintain its significant standing in the Greek market but with reduced operating costs.
“We believe that with this deal we will achieve better targets than with the previous model,” CY chairman Tony Antoniou said.
Top Kinisis chairman Akis Kelepeshis said they were assuming CY’s representation at a critical juncture, mainly due to the competition created by low-cost carrier Ryanair’s entry on the same route.
He appeared optimistic that his company would maintain CY sales at high levels and help the airline achieve further growth.
