Taoushanis picked as new Coop bank chairman

Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Cyprus Development Bank, Takis Taoushanis, has been appointed as the new chairman of the Cooperative Central Bank (CCB) according to an announcement by the CCB.

The conclusion of new appointments came after receiving approvals from the EU’s Single Supervisory Mechanism – the CCB’s supervisor.

In all, the Management Committee decided on the following positions.

• Chairman: Takis Taoushanis
• Vice Chairman: Lambros Pieri
• Senior Independent Director: Panicos Pouros
• Chair of the Audit Committee: George Kittos
• Chair of the Risk Committee: George Hadjinicolas
• Chair of the of the Remuneration Committee: Charalambos Christodoulides
• Chair of the Nomination Committee: Susana Poyadjis

The other members of the board are as follows.

• Kypros Ellinas, Non-Executive Director
• Adonis Pegasiou, Non-Executive Director
• Nicholas Hadjiayiannis, Executive Director, CEO
• Stavros Iacovou, Executive Director, Senior Manager Operations & Administrative Services
