The state and the Education Ministry have an obligation to provide all the services required according to the needs of all children, including special educational needs, the Education Minister Prodromos Prodromou said.
He stressed that there is still much to be done in this direction, which is why the Education Ministry will present its plans and take decisions to strengthen special education and the issue of school assistants during an educational workshop on August 1, Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (Cybc) reported.
Regarding the pandemic, Prodromou noted that his ministry is in constant communication with the Health Ministry to implement measures if deemed necessary.
In addition, he clarified that the pilot installation of air purification systems in schools has been completed and the final report by experts is expected so that decisions can be made.
Prodromou was speaking after the memorial service for the fallen commandos and the vice admiral Eleftherios Chandrinos that was held on Sunday morning at the church of Agios Kendeas in Paphos.
