The annual inflation rate in Cyprus recorded a slight increase in June 2014, as well as in Greece, but remains negative in the Eurozone, according to figures released from Eurostat.
The figures indicate that in June 2014, inflation went to 0.0% from -0.1% in May. In Greece, it went from -2.1% in May to -1.5%.
In the Euro area, annual inflation was 0.5% in June 2014, stable compared with May. A year earlier the rate was 1.6%.
Monthly inflation was 0.1% in June 2014. In the European Union the annual inflation was 0.7% in June 2014, up from 0.6% in May. A year earlier the rate was 1.7%. Monthly inflation was 0.1% in June 2014.
In June 2014, negative annual rates were observed in Bulgaria (-1.8%), Greece (-1.5%), Portugal (-0.2%), Hungary and Slovakia (both -0.1%). The highest annual rates were recorded in the United Kingdom (1.9%).
