Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hadjimanolis announced this week the results of the recent elections for two key advisory committees, which aim to enhance the competitiveness and quality of Cyprus’ maritime sector.
These committees are the advisory committee on competitiveness and quality enhancement of the Cyprus flag, as well as the advisory committee on competitiveness of the Cyprus maritime cluster. “It is truly an honour to have such distinguished individuals providing advice and recommendations to the deputy minister of shipping,” Hadjimanolis said. “Your wealth of knowledge and experience will undoubtedly contribute to the development and excellence of the Cypriot maritime sector,” she added. The deputy minister also stressed the strong turnout for these elections, which she said reflects the importance of the committees within Cyprus’ maritime community. “Your participation demonstrates the key role that these committees play in our maritime sector,” the minister stated.
In terms of the elected members for the advisory committee on competitiveness and quality enhancement of the Cyprus flag, the successful candidates include John Coustas, Andreas Hadjiyiannis, Polys Hajioannou, Thanassis Martinos, George Mouskas, Nicole Mylonas, George Prokopiou, and Heinrich Schoeller. Meanwhile, Themis Papadopoulos and Philippos Philis have been named as runners-up. For the advisory committee on the competitiveness of the Cyprus maritime cluster, those elected include Julia Anastasiou, Loukas Barbaris, John Hadjiparaschou, Andreas Hadjipetrou, Jha Kumar Prabhat, Andreas Neophytou, Chrysostomos Papavassiliou, and Dieter Rohdenburg.
Finally, Andreas Solomonides and Michael Bradshaw were announced as the runners-up for this committee.
