Revenue from tourism rose more than 17% in September to €321.1m compared to the respective month a year before, the statistical service said recently.
In the first nine months of the year, overall revenue from tourism rose an annual 3.2% to below €1.8bn, Cystat said in a statement on its website.
Tourist arrivals in September and in January to September rose an annual 14% and 7.4%, according to previous Cystat data.
Directly or indirectly, tourism accounts for roughly one quarter of Cyprus’ economy according to the London-based World Travel and Tourism Council.
