Consumer prices dropped at a 1.2% annual rate in December 2015 after falling 2.1% the month before mainly on reduced energy prices, the statistical service said.
The consumer price index fell a monthly 0.7% in December on more affordable fresh vegetables, electricity and airfares, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Thursday.
In January to December, consumer prices in Cyprus fell 2.1% compared to the respective period of 2014, Cystat said. It was the lowest inflation rate Cystat reported since 1960.
