President Nicos Anastasiades has expressed his wish to see the implementation of the long-pending National Health Scheme (NHS) during his tenure, noting that the NHS has been the subject of study for several years and the relevant legislation was approved in 2001.
In his address at the inauguration of the new wing of the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre, he said since then significant efforts have been made and its implementation was the vision of every government.
“We must finally overcome all the difficulties that have prevented NHS implementation until now."
