Constandinos Loizides, the Chairman of Piraeus Bank (Cyprus) Ltd, will take over the helm of the Group’s international operations and business and planning development divisions, effective from 1 April 2016.
According to a statement by the Bank, in his new role, Loizides will oversee the management of non-banking investments of the Group both in Greece and abroad.
Loizides, who will continue to hold the position of Chairman of Piraeus Bank (Cyprus) Ltd, was previously President and CEO of Hellenic Bank (1996-2005). More recently (2013-2016), Loizides was CEO of Piraeus Bank Egypt.
In March 2013, Piraeus Bank acquired the Greek banking operations of Cyprus’ three big lenders at the time.
