Peyia beach to generate €1 million for municipality

A total of €1 million in revenues are expected to be collected by Peyia municipality from two kiosks, sunbeds and umbrellas at Peyia municipal beach, mayor Marinos Lambrou said on Friday.

Lambrou also noted that the local authority’s aim has been achieved.

Talking to the Cyprus News Agency, Lambrou said that revenues have increased by approximately 25% compared to 2020-2021. Compared to 2019, the revenues were at 85%.

Lambrou said that the beach’s image this year has been upgraded with a greater offering of products at the two tourist kiosks found at the Coral Bay beach.

Concluding, he said that Peyia municipality placed a special emphasis on cleanliness and hired additional cleaning crews to work overtime.
