Paphos municipality has brought in around €500,000 in revenue from civil wedding tourism so far in 2015, said the press recently.
The municipality’s wedding official Lia Kosti said the number of marriage was up 20% over the same period last year with 1,132 people having tied the knot in the district.
They expect another 200 weddings by the end of the year, she said.
Some 80% of the couples are British, 15% Israelis, 5% Russians.
