This month the hotels in Paphos are 97% full.
Speaking to the Cyprus News Agency, Thanos Michaelides said that although so far, British, Russian, Israeli and to a lesser extent, German tourists have showed interest in Paphos, August will be slightly different as far as the nationalities it attracts are concerned.
This can be largely attributed to several events being organised in Paphos, in light of it being the European Culture Capital for 2017 and will attract many Cypriot visitors, he added.
Thus, locals wishing to spend holidays in Paphos should hurry and make reservations before rooms run out, he said.
In August, occupancy rate based on bookings will be 97% while for July, the rate is between 93 to 95% – a slight increase compared to the previous year, Michaelides said.
