Over 43,000 beneficiaries of the national health scheme (Gesy) have received inpatient care since its launch, the health insurance organisation (HIO) told the health minister in a conference call on Monday.

The HIO briefed Constantinos Ioannou on its next steps in improving Gesy’s services, as well as the effectiveness of its plan to combat system abuse which was drawn up last October.
