November 2017 inflation reported at 0.3%

Consumer prices rose an annual 0.3% in November as the inflation rate accelerated from October’s 0.1% after it was in the negative area in August and September, the statistical service said.

The increase in consumer prices last month was mainly on more expensive vegetables, fuel, electricity and car repairs and maintenance, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Thursday. More affordable potatoes, cleaning and maintenance products, soft drinks and other goods and services partly offset the increase.

In January to November, consumer prices rose 0.6% compared to the respective period last year, Cystat said.
