In a written statement the UN spokesman said that all measures regarding the Covid-19 pandemic taken at the checkpoints will be lifted – as of Tuesday.
The UN spokesman said that the bi-communal technical committee on Health believes that the epidemiological situation on the island justifies lifting of all measures at the checkpoints.
He also noted that the Technical Committee will continue to evaluate the epidemiological situation on both sides and adjust the measures as necessary.
