Nicosia’s ‘C2’ casino opens its doors

Cyprus Casinos Nicosia (C2 Nicosia) has opened its doors to the public.

It is the first satellite casino following the launch of the first temporary casino – Cyprus Casinos Limassol (“C2 Limassol”) last June.

Craig Ballantyne, Property President of City of Dreams Mediterranean and Cyprus Casinos, said he was pleased to see the new addition to the C2 portfolio.

“C2 will significantly contribute to the efforts of the Cypriot government to combat illegal gaming,” he said.

Around 100 people have been employed at the Nicosia casino, bringing the total number of Melco staff in Cyprus to over 700, the vast majority being Cypriot citizens.

C2 Nicosia is located on Neas Engomis Street No35, with a total area of 970 m2 and features five live tables and 50 slot machines. It is also home to another Columbia Bistro restaurant and bar.

It boasts a similar interior design and identity as C2 Limassol.

C2 Nicosia is open Monday to Friday from 3pm until 6am and 24-hours on weekends, public holidays and holiday seasons. Visitors must be 21 years of age and above to enter and observe the responsible gaming policies, Melco said in a statement.

Cyprus Casinos Larnaca (C2 Larnaca), the second satellite casino, is also scheduled to open at Larnaca International Airport – Glafcos Clerides later in December.
