The website, developed with CyTA, is accessible at www.cyma.org.cy offering “accurate information on the health sector in Cyprus.”

“The health portal offers updated and authoritative information, aiming at interactive and electronic dissemination of information from the CMA to its members, as well as all health stakeholders in Cyprus,” a press release said.

The CMA said the new portal allows citizens to navigate to information on any doctor in Cyprus, as well as fill out applications and despatch them to the CMA electronically, and access information through the association’s announcements.

“In addition, the new website allows for the prompt retrieval of accurate information relating to the legal framework governing medicine practicing in Cyprus, as well as dates of medical conventions, seminars and speeches,” the press release added.

Upcoming features, the CMA announced, include the creation of an application for smartphones and tablets, which will allow patients access to contact information and employment location of any doctor, whom they will be able to contact instantly.

“The partnership between the two organisations (CMA and CyTA) changes the health industry’s landscape. It creates a comprehensive communication and information-sharing portal between doctors, health professionals and the public,” CMA said.

“Better information means better healthcare.”
