A new five star hotel with sporting facilities, the Olympia Sports Resort, is planned for the Alaminos area, the press reported recently.
It said the company Browneye Properties Ltd aspires to create a recreation and sporting complex.
The hotel will have 463 rooms with 926 beds, an exhibition area, restaurants and bars, shops, swimming pool, gyms and multi-purpose areas.
There were will also be 26 villas with 156 beds, 10 tennis courts, three football pitches and changing rooms.
It will be situated southeast of Alaminos, about 4km from the residential area and fairly close to the beach. Construction should be completed in two years, the site added.
