After seven years at the helm of National Bank Cyprus, Nicos Beis will step down from CEO, with Christos Christodoulou taking his place.
Christodoulou is Cypriot and has been working with the National Bank Group since 2007, with his latest position being that of CFO in the group’s subsidiary in Bulgaria. The appointment of Christodoulou is subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Cyprus.
He also previously worked at Eurobank, and is an English School graduate and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).
Meanwhile, Beis may be stepping down from CEO, however he will remain at the National Bank Group in a consulting role.
