MTN sponsor of the Cyprus Digital Agenda 2020

MTN, a pioneer in helping Cyprus become a member of the digital society, is participating in the Digital Agenda 2020 of the European Union, representing Cyprus, with the support of the first Digital Championship and the submission of proposals.

In the context of its patronage, MTN has submitted proposals for the promotion of the concept of digital innovation to pupils, students, natural persons and teams, and newly established and small companies, as well as the development of competitive and innovative digital products and services in line with the priorities of the Digital Agenda.

Mr. Philip Van Dalsen, ΜΤΝ CEO, has stated: “We are proud to continue offering resources, opportunities, education and networking for the inclusion of Cyprus in the digital era, offering our economy new, sustainable prospects. We feel justified in taking the lead and call all Cyprus companies to participate in the effort of making Cyprus a part of the digital era.” 



The inclusion of Cyprus in the digital era has been part of MTN’s long-term strategy for years, emphasizing a number of initiatives. With the Y’ello Lessons, MTN has been educating the public about the correct use of mobile phones and tablets as well as their many possibilities. At the same time, MTN was the first company in Cyprus to support the technological community of youth entrepreneurship with platforms such as Open Coffee Cyprus, STARTup LiVE Cyprus, the first pan-european three-day event for the training of young entrepreneurs, and Startup Weekend Cyprus, the biggest international event which showcases startup entrepreneurship in Cyprus. 


MTN supports the inclusion of Cyprus in the digital era, so that every citizen can discover and take advantage of its benefits.
