Hundreds of new trees will be planted in the area as the park will include a botanical garden, squares, playground, cafeteria, exhibition area and management and information office.
Visitors will be able to participate in various sport activities with a tennis court, basketball court, small soccer field, skateboarding area, as well as a 3-6m climbing wall.

Meanwhile, the final construction plans for the two linear parks in the eastern and western borders of Paphos municipality have been completed. The parks, with a budget amounting to €7 million, are expected to span an area of more than 12 kilometres near two rivers.
The eastern park will start from the area of the terminal junction of the Limassol – Paphos highway and will end in the area of Limnaria in Kato Paphos.
The northwestern park will start from the area of the Ayios Neophytos lyceum, through the Mouttalos neighbourhood, and will end in the Diplarkadjiia area, at the municipal boundaries of Paphos and Chlorakas.
During construction, workers will clear the streams to allow access to the public and build sidewalks to transform the rivers into “green lungs” but also to create an exercise and gathering hub for both locals and tourists.
