The Minister of Health Mr. Michalis Hadjipandelas, who is accompanying the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis in Madrid, signed today, on the sidelines of the President's visit, a Memorandum of Understanding for Health Cooperation between Cyprus and Spain.
Specifically, in a special ceremony held this morning at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Madrid, Mr. Hadjipandelas and his Spanish counterpart Carolina Darias signed the Memorandum which provides, among other things, the transfer of know-how and expertise in relation to transplants and the regulatory framework of the distribution of pharmaceuticals.
In this context, the actions under the Memorandum are expected to increase the quality of medical care for the citizens of the two countries.
More specifically, the Memorandum of Understanding concerns the exchange of knowledge in the fields of organ donation, transplantation, ICU staff training, as well as in the field of pharmacy for the exchange of information in relation to the pricing and evaluation of drugs and medical equipment.
