Manufacturing output rose an annual 3.8% in August and 2.1% in the first eight months of 2015, the statistical service said.
Overall industrial production, which includes manufacturing, mining and quarrying, electricity, as well as water supply and recycling, rose 3.3% in August and 2.1% between January and August, compared with the respective period of 2014, Cystat said in a statement on its website today.
Mining and quarrying rose 32% year-on-year in August, which was unable to fully offset a 1.9% annual drop between January and August, Cystat said. Electricity production rose 5.3% and 3.1% respectively, while water supply and recycling dropped 11% and 1.4%.
