Managing Partner Elias Neocleous discussed the future of AI in business transformation at the Limassol Economic Forum

The 15th edition of the Limassol Economic Forum, Cyprus’ largest current affairs conference, recently took place, bringing together global thought leaders, policymakers, economists, and industry experts to address key economic challenges and opportunities.

A standout moment of the event was the dynamic panel discussion focused on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) for business transformation. The conversation examined the future of AI, data management, and the regulatory landscape influencing businesses throughout Europe.

Participating as a panellist was our firm’s Managing Partner Elias Neocleous alongside other esteemed experts and thought leaders in the field like Inma Martinez, AI and Digital Visionary advising governments and leading institutions such as the G7/OECD, Georgia Pitta, CFO and Executive Director of ECOMMBX, and Peter Sarlin, CEO and Co-Founder of Silo AI the largest private AI lab in Europe recently acquired in a high-profile deal by AMD.

During the session moderated by Stavriana A. Kofteros, Founder and Partner of W11 Ventures, Elias shared his insights on the transformative role of AI and innovation within the legal and professional services sector. He highlighted that successful integration of AI and other emerging technologies requires more than merely bolting them onto existing systems but depends on aligning them with core strategic objectives. Reflecting on the firm’s own innovative initiatives, he touched upon its very own AI pilot project Neolaw including establishing a state-of-the-art data centre, enhanced cybersecurity investments, and building alliances globally to further secure and optimise client service.

Additionally, Elias outlined our firm’s approach to leveraging AI for operational efficiencies in data processing, document management, and client service, underlining how the strategic application of AI can lead to enhanced service delivery  at a fraction of the cost. In a discussion with the other panelists, he also stressed the challenges involved and legal considerations, underscoring the importance of establishing a balanced regulatory framework that safeguards fundamental rights and democracy as well as fosters AI trustworthiness, ensuring AI serves the public good without stifling progress.

The full video of the panel discussion featuring each speaker’s invaluable perspectives is now available on YouTube.
