ΜΤΝ launches 'Innovation Challenge'

On the occasion of World Telecommunications Day, MTN launches MTN Innovation Challenge contest, giving Cyprus developers and startups €35,000 prizes, as well as the prospect of long-term collaboration for the winner.

MTN is the first telecommunications provider in Cyprus to open up its platform to the country’s tech community, providing expertise, skills, experience, network and services to the local innovative startups that want to make a difference. 



Startups interested in entering the contest must come up with services and applications that utilize MTN’s SDP (service delivery platform). The judging committee is consisted of experts, whose position enables them to adequately evaluate proposals.

Whoever is interested will be able to register online at the website by June 10th 2014. 



In Phase 1 of the MTN Innovation Challenge, contestants submit their business idea via team presentations. These ideas will be evaluated, in order to proceed in the final Phase 2 on September 1st 2014, when the top three teams will win €5,000 each and get the opportunity to implement their business idea. 



The shortlist’s winning team will win the €20,000 grand prize, as well as the prospect of cooperating with MTN.
