Larnaca Marina to open to the public in October

The Larnaca Marina will open to the public at the end of October, Phileleftheros reported on Tuesday.

Panos Alexandrou, CEO of Kition Ocean Holdings Ltd which manages the development, told Phileleftheros that the marina will include a restaurant, a coffee shop, a playground and a Christmas village, as well as a big screen that will show movies during the weekends.

Alexandou added that the pedestrian road has been repaired and lighting has been installed so that people will have access to the marina from Foinikoudes.

These changes will be temporary, as, in three years, the second phase of the project will take place, which will involve the total reconstruction of the area and the operation of a yacht club.

The development project at the marina and port area in Larnaca is expected to cost €1.2 billion, making it the biggest ever investment in Cyprus.
