Building permits fell in January to November 26% in terms of construction area to 0.7 million square metres and 25% in terms of project value to €799.4 million compared to the respective period of 2013, the statistical service said recently.
In January to November, local authorities issued building permits for housing projects with a total area of above 0.5 million square metres worth €518.7 million, which was 31% and 32% below respective 2013 figures, Cystat said on its website today.
Building permits for non-housing projects fell 4.1% in terms of construction area and rose 16% in terms of value to below 0.2 million square metres and below €191.6 million respectively, Cystat said.
