Inflation in Cyprus at 2.7% in November 2018

Inflation was recorded at 2.7% in November 2018 which lessened in intensity compared to October of the same year.

According to data released by Cyprus Statistical Service, the Consumer Prices Index fell by 0.20 units, down to 102.09 units compared to 102.29 units in October.

In October annual inflation climbed up to 3%, the highest percentage for 2018.

Average CPI for the period October 2017 - November 2018 compared to the same period of last year was 1.2%.

Compared to November 2017, the greatest increases overall by 11.8% were recorded in the category ‘Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Other Fuels’.

Compared to October 2018 the greatest negative change was in Transport, which recorded a drop of 2.1%.
