Inflation expected at 0.4% in November

Euro area annual inflation is expected to be 1.0% in November 2019, up from 0.7% in October according to a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.

Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, food, alcohol & tobacco is expected to have the highest annual rate in November (2.0%, compared with 1.5% in October), followed by services (1.9%, compared with 1.5% in October), non-energy industrial goods (0.4%, compared with 0.3% in October) and energy (-3.2%, compared with -3.1% in October).

In Cyprus inflation is expected to be 0.4% in November, up from -0.5% in October 2019, but down from 1.6% in November 2018.
