Industrial output rises 7.4% in November 2015

Industrial production rose 7.4% in November 2015 compared to a year before mainly on a strong rise in manufacturing output, the statistical service said recently.

Manufacturing output in November rose almost 11% compared to the respective month of 2014 mainly on an annual increase of annual 17% in the output of petroleum products, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals and a 27% increase in the output of motor vehicles and other transport equipment, Cystat said in a statement on its website on Thursday.

Output in mining and quarrying rose an annual 27% in November, while that in electricity fell 0.7%. Output in water supply and recycling fell 3.4%.

In January to November, industrial output rose 2.7% compared to a year before mainly on a 3% increase in manufacturing output, Cystat said. Mining and quarrying and electricity supply rose in the first 11 months of 2015 0.1% and 3.7%, while water supply and recycling fell 3%.
