The budgets approved were for the Technological University (€51.9 million), the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (€50.5 million), the Cyprus State Scholarship Foundation (€7.6 million), and the Cyprus News Agency (€2.2 million).
Prior to the vote, main opposition AKEL said the state scholarship foundation has been slashed by €850,000 compared to last year, and as a result fewer university freshmen would be eligible.
