Hellenic Bank appoints Lars Kramer to Board of Directors

Hellenic Bank announced the appointment of Lars Kramer as an Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the bank and the resignation of Georgios Fereos from its Board of Directors with effect from 10 July 2017.

Fereos will continue to serve the Bank as Group General Manager, Group Corporate Development.

Lars Kramer is the Chief Financial Officer of the Group.

Kramer joined the Bank on 3 April 2017 from the ING Group, where he was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for ING Wholesale Bank since 2012. Kramer joined the ING Group in 1997 and over a period of two decades held a number of Finance related positions based in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Netherlands, including CFO for ING Retail Banking Direct & International, (between 2010 and 2012), CFO for ING Direct (between 2008 and 2010) and CFO for ING Wholesale Asia (between 2003 and 2008).

Kramer started his career at PwC South Africa, where he qualified as a chartered accountant. He graduated with a B.Sc. Accounting from the University of South Africa and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration–Finance, Markets and Strategy from the University of Cape Town.

The appointment of Kramer has been approved by the European Central Bank.
