Harmonised rate of Inflation stood at -0.9% in March 2014 and -1.3% in February 2014, while the corresponding rate in March 2013 was 1.3%.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages sector recorded a decrease of -2% in March 2014 compared to March 2013, while housing, water, electricity and gas sector recorded a decrease of -8.4%. Clothing and footwear sector increased by 5.5% while alcoholic beverages and tobacco sector increased by 3.1%.
During the period of January – March 2014, the harmonized index of consumer prices was -1.2%, compared to the correspondent period of 2013. During the first two months of 2014 (January-February) the index was 1.4% compared to the corresponding period of last year.
