Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides highlighted nine positive facts in the local economy, pointing out that this has been achieved through the hard work of the people of Cyprus.
In a statement replying to criticism over the government’s handling of the economy, Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides said this was achieved with everybody's cooperation, but above all the sacrifices of the people of Cyprus, 18 months after the complete derailment of the public finances and the collapse of the country’s banking system.
Christodoulides referred to the four cases in which Cyprus' credit rating outlook has been raised after 22 continued downgrades, as well as four successive positive evaluations by the international lenders.
