All people dealing with betting and gambling will go back to school in view of the operation of a Gambling Academy in Cyprus. The operation of the Academy will be undertaken by the National Betting Authority aiming to protect players and other interested parties.
The Gambling Academy will offer educational seminars and lessons through distance learning or with physical presence. The material will be prepared by expert instructors who have the necessary know-how.
Additionally the sector of gambling will be upgraded and possible threats of legalizing income from illegal activities (money laundering) will be eliminated.
The first Gambling Academy will reinforce the sustainable growth of the sector and the protection of players. Among the priorities of the Authority is the establishment of Cyprus as a fair and safe environment in the gambling sector.
