Fuel prices set to go down

Fuel retail prices are expected to drop on October 28 2015, following reductions agreed to by oil companies a day earlier.

The companies lowered the price of unleaded gas by 2 cents per litre, diesel by 1.5 cents, and heating oil by 3 cents. The price of kerosene remains the same.

This means that the new proposed prices, as of Wednesday, are €1.163 per litre for unleaded 95, €1.212 for unleaded 98, €1.165 for diesel and €0.758 for heating oil.

A large number of petrol stations are already selling at lower prices than those proposed by their companies.

Further reductions are expected in all types of fuel with the exception of unleaded 95, as reserves were filled up at the new set prices on Tuesday, in anticipation of the public holiday of October 28.

Lowest prices at petrol stations today were unleaded 95 – €1.555 per litre, unleaded 98 – €1.212, diesel – €1.158 diesel and heating oil – €0.747.
